Base Laying
We offer a base laying service with our buildings. There are three types of base we offer; levelling frame, platform base and concrete base
When installing a building we ask that all bases are solid, level, firm and of equal size or greater than the building.
We offer a free site survey to check this if needed.
Levelling Frame
A levelling frame is required when you have an existing base or concrete / paving area that is solid but may not be level. It is constructed using 100mmx50mm tanalised graded C24 timber joists.
Platform Base
A platform base is constructed using 100mmx50mm tanalised graded C24 timber joists. These are fixed to purpose made concrete deck posts that are concreted into the ground. This gives a rot free barrier between the timber and the ground.
You will require a platform base if you have no existing base and the building is going onto soil.
